Well it looks like MySpace has updated their coding again because I noticed that the online now icons in my overlays are either displaying too big and/or with a border around them. Both of my overlay generators have been updated to correct this. If you have an overlay already installed and you don't feel like running through the generator again to get fresh code then you can use a patch I posted on my Overlay Changelog page.
Cheers!

Dude, these layouts (overlays) are amazing! I feel so original lol. Thanks a lot.
hey mate! love the layouts
is there anyway i can get music on tthw white overlay though please?
thankss
can you update this so you can have access to the bulitans and the blog/blurb sections on myspace? i love this layout and dont want to loose it - however i want to do more on myspace!! :)
the overlays are pretty cool.
is there a way where you can hide your friends and comments on myspace?
cuz i don't like people looking @ everything.
Dude, cheers! Totally sorted my page out!
x
Love the black layout! I'm telling all my friends about you!
BTW, if I wanted to embed a .swf centered above the two panels, where exactly would I put the tag? All that code is dizzying!
wow thanks this is just to cool
I love these layouts, but why are'nt there ever any new ones?
I like to switch between the white & black but you never put up new ones why?
Daniel,
I do this on a volunteer basis and I've been busier than a rented donkey for the past little while. I'll get new layouts up when I can find some spare time.
minimalist layouts are completely underrated, however it's funny to notice that the simplest always seem to have the most intimidating code behind them. these are fabulous. but...on that note, is there any way that you can help us change it round a bit? for instance, i want my scroll bars to be different, and the tables wider.
i'm not sure how you wrote this code (being as i have little to no knowledge of html) but if there were some way to work it into other html codes, that would be marvelous.
many thanks!
Cheers for the new layout mate... I dig your hard work! I feel kinda guilty now, Can i send you an easter egg?
diz layout is like me... simple.. thanx dude
Hi, love the overlays!
You might notice that they look a lot better in IE than in Firefox. Also, I had to get IE for Linux in order to use the generator. That's okay, but is there any chance we can get these layouts looking better in Firefox? The two main tables are very close to the bottom, or extend beyond the bottom of the visible screen, depending on how large the font setting is, and maybe screen resolution. They also appear statically-sized, which might mean some horizontal scrolling for those with small screens and low resolutions.
Great job, thanks!
Karen,
The generators are written in simple Javascript. Most web browsers can easily handle Javascript. If you encounter problems getting the getting the generators to work, check your Javascript settings or scripting permissions on your browser.
As for getting them to look good in Firefox (e.g., tables riding too low) I'm not sure what you're talking about. I tested them extensively in Firefox and took great pains to make sure they look almost identical to how they look in IE.
Take a look at my test page and see if you see the same issues:

Also, if you're playing around with setting larger font sizes then I can't guarantee satisfactory results. In fact, I wouldn't recommend messing with the font sizes at all if you don't know what you're doing (the reasons are complex... has to do with getting the blog table to display at the smallest height possible).
Hey, I love the overlay, but I have one question. On your examples, your text starts at the top, next to the picture and goes down. On my page, my text starts at the bottom of the picture. How can I get it to start at the top?
THANKS!

Matt,
Looks like you edited (or replaced) the < img > tag in your code. If you're going to do that, make sure you only replace the value of the src attribute (i.e., the image URL) and don't delete anything else. There are other important attributes in the original < img > tag code that align the image to the left and apply some width to the margins. Looks like you're going to have to run through the generator again to fix it up.
Yeah, I probably changed it. If you looked at my profile, you can see I have been editing different things on the page. I used html to align the picture to the left so the words would wrap on the right. I dont really know anything about HTML or CSS coding, but I can read through all the code and figure out how to change things. Thanks for your help and thanks A LOT for making this website for easy Overlay generators! Keep up the good work.

How can i enlarge the picture comments...they all seem to be small thumbnails??...great work!
Will,
This is an unavoidable side effect of resizing the friends pics in the Friend Space section. Any pics in the Comments section that are enclosed in hyperlinks will be resized as well. These overlays are typically meant for those who have HTML disabled in their Comments section.
this is SO helpful. ive been trying to do DIV layouts but its so confusing and complicated. you helped out ALOT!
these layouts are amazing.
thankyou so much for sharing them with us.
my myspace is orginial and different to my friends. and they are so jealous.
Hahahahaha.
Thanks.
xx
your fucking layouts roccck
Your layouts rock! I have the black one and don't think I could have found anything better! Thanks,
-Jay
I tried using the plain overlay on my 'band' music page - didn't work out to well. any pointers?
thanks
Yeah.. Sorry Charles.. These overlays are not compatible with band profiles. I have that noted on my home page but I just realized that people might have accessed the overlay pages without hitting my home page.
I have some MySpace music backgrounds available here in case you're interested.

They're not overlays but they're still pretty nice. Check 'em out!
