New Overlay Generator!

If you're looking for something along the lines of 'plain dark MySpace layouts' then you should check out my new Plain Black MySpace Overlay which is the complement to my original Plain White MySpace Overlay. This will cover up everything on your MySpace page except your Friend Space and Comments sections and create a layout using a couple of neatly arranged boxes with a black background.

In the left column you can insert a pic and write a quick blurb and in the right column you'll have your MySpace navigation links automatically generated for you (including those found in your contact table) along with your Friends Space and Comments sections. As with my original overlay generator, the idea here is 'quick and painless', i.e., you'll be able to install this clean, minimalist look into your MySpace profile in five easy steps.

3. are these overlays compatible with Safari?
   and is the banner removable?

4. Jizzle,

   As far as I can tell, no, these overlays are not compatible with Safari. There are some issues with the CSS that I haven't been able to resolve yet and testing is difficult because I don't have a Mac yet and the online screenshot utilities are slow and unreliable (nor can they be used to test any dynamic web elements).

   As for removing the banner ad, this is strictly against the MySpace terms of service. Other overlays out there that remove the banner ad are putting users at risk of getting their MySpace accounts deleted.

   thanks so much, my profile looks so much better now!

   i tried to make a div overlay myself, and did really well, until it came to sticking it in my profile!! but i've got your new, simple one now!

   The only problem i had was that the text which i wrote in, under the display pic, proper wrapped down the side, so it was really hard to read, nearly vertical

   but i just added page breaks and it sorted itself

7. Hi I love your layout. The only thing I see I am missing is the VIEW BLOG link on the right hand side under MY STUFF.

   Is there an update for users to VIEW BLOG while visiting my page?

10. These minimalist layouts were not meant to be used with falling text codes. In fact, falling text and the stylistic intent behind these layouts are at polar opposites. Sorry.

    If you copy the coding from your "I'd like to meet" section that says
    View My Pics
    and change the "View My Pics" bit for "View My Blog" and change the web address bit of the coding for your blog's web address and add that finished bit after it then you will have a link that says "View My Blog" underneath your "View My Pics" link.
